I'm Tina Barrera, owner of The Special Event Florist. I created my company over 24 years ago after falling in love with wedding design. I enjoy working with my clients on a personal level to design your dream event. My husband is also in the industry and together we create exquisite  weddings.

I do not advertise. St. Louis is a very small community. I am very fortunate that I worked strictly from word of mouth referrals from previous clients, wedding planners, photographers, event venues and adoring family members. I do around 60 weddings a year and I am so very thankful for all my clients who continue to refer me.

I do work from a home based studio but that doesn't hinder our ability to deliver for you! We are a talented team of designers and many other hands for delivery and set up to ensure your day goes smoothly. 

Wedding design can be very demanding with hours worked. I have chosen to work from home so I can take small breaks throughout my day to spend some time with my three boys. You may see them helping out on weekends too.
